BUGANDA ROAD COURT ORDERS DPP TO TAKE OVER CASE

Buganda road court has ordered the office of the Director of Public Prosecution to take over the case in which Kyadondo East Member of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu is accused of providing false documents of his age to parliament and the ministry of internal affairs.

In the ruling, before Magistrate Stellah Amabiris, the office of the DPP can take over prosecution of any case if it has interest in it.

Buganda road court Magistrate Stellah Amabirs submissions ordered the office of the Director of Public Prosecution to take over Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu age case from Male Mabirizi.

Meanwhile, court also accused Male Mabirizi for using his powers to draft a charge sheet, without consulting court.
court dismissed Male Mabirizis prayer and declined to issue criminal summons to Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

Male Mabirizi  prayed to court to be availed with the ruling to file his plea in high court.

However, Mabiris expresses his  dissatisfaction with the way court has handed his application saying that, the learned magistrate did not peruse through his submissions and authorities.

according to Male Mabirizi, Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu falsely submitted false information to ministry of internal affairs  and parliament showing the he was born in 1982 while  his birth certificate indicates that he was born in 1980.
