Burundian refugees begun to go back home and extended gratitude to Government of Rwanda

Burundian refugees that have begun to go back home have said they are happy to do so and also thanked the Government of Rwanda for catering for them since 2015 when they first arrived.
The returning refugees began to board the buses taking them back early in the morning and by 9:00 am, they were being escorted out of the Mahama Refugee Camp in the Eastern Province of Rwanda by Police personnel, and bidding farewell by other refugees still in the Camp.
Those going back to Burundi after 5 years are saying that this is a new chapter in their lives and that they want their country to once again enjoy good relations with Rwanda.
