Forum for Democratic Change-FDC Party has unveiled a fundraising drive envisioned to mobilize funds for their presidential candidate.
The campaign, dubbed, “shs1000 per citizen” targets collection of funds to aid the campaign trail for the party Presidential candidate for the 2021 race.
According to the party President, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, these funds will be collected through their official campaign network which will be laible for audit.
Nonetheless, the party has also embarked on a pre-nomination tour across the country, where they will also be meeting their different candidates.
Training of agents on mobilization for the 2021 elections has also kicked off in Buganda region.
On the restrictions as per the electoral commission guidelines, the FDC Presidential hopeful says they will abide as long as other parties also abide.
Meanwhile, the party is also in its final stages of drafting its manifesto which encompasses the transition process and other key issues.
The manifesto will be launched in the Eastern district of Soroti, immediately after nomination, which will be followed by the launch of the campaign for the party candidate’s Presidential bid.
