France to impose night-time curfew to curb 2nd wave of coronavirus

France is to impose a night-time curfew on Paris and eight other French cities from this weekend, from 9pm until 6am in the morning in a bid to halt spiralling Covid infection rates in the country, President Emmanuel Macron has announced.
It will kick-in from midnight on October 17 and will last for four weeks. The new measures come four months after the last lockdown was phased out as infections decreased.
