Rt Lt Gen Hennery Tumukunde wants court to summon the director CID Grace Akullo to appear in court to answer charges slapped against her following her summons to compel Lt Gen Hennery Tumukunde to appear at CID head offices in Kibule or else be arrested.
Meanwhile, Male Mabirizi has declined to let Director of Public Prosecution to take over his case which he filed against Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamus’ false age declaration to pass port office and parliament.
A one Male Mabirizi who presents himself in court has today appeared before grade one magistrate Stellah Amabiris to proceed with his cases which he filed against Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamus’ false age declaration to pass port office and parliament.
The accused Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu did not appear in court neither his lawyers, Male Mabirizi prayed to court to issue criminal summons to compel him appear in court to answer the alleged.
It was during the same court session, that prosecutions led by Peter Mugisha, asked court to allow them take over this case basing on the letter dated 2 September 2020, to court and it’s a public interest case, that prosecution has all it takes to take over any cases basing under article 120 section 5.
Prosecution also asked court to proceed in absence of the accuased Kyagulanyi Ssentemu basing their evidence under article 42 (4) However, this was objected by Male Mabirizi the main applicant in this case.
Magistrate, Stellah Amabiris adjourned this case to 28th September 2020 to deliver her ruling on this application.
Meanwhile the civil court before Justice Musa Ssekaana has set 11th September 2020, to deliver its ruling whether court compels director CID Grace Akullo to appear in court to answer charges against her.
This followed her affidavit presented to court by attorney Adore Richard however, the applicant through his legal team led by Wameri Anthony objected saying that they sued Grace Akullo in person not the government.
On this Rt Lt Gen Hennery Tumukunde prayed to court issue criminal summons to director CID Grace Akullo in person to appear in court to answer her sworn in affidavit filed in court.
Although, this was objected by the attorney generals officer
Tumukundes supporters however stormed court with chats expressing their dissatisfaction on the treatment of their leader.
