The increasing cases of Coronavirus deaths have forced veteran songstress Iryn Namubiru together with her management team and Fezah Entertainment to postpone her online concert.
The concert that was initially slated for this weekend on Sunday, August 16 has been pushed forward to 13th September following the latest Ministry of Health guidelines that have been put in place.
The changes in the concert dates and postponement was made through an official statement that was issued by Fezah Entertainment who were organizing this concert.
“Due to the latest guidance from the Ministry of Health about Kampala becoming a COVID-19 hotspot we have postponed Iryn Naumubiru’s online show to the 13th of September. Since it is a live-streamed performance, we found it necessary to ensure that we upgrade safety precautions over and above the Standard Operating Procedures from the government to protect our Artists and Crew,” read the statement.
In the statement, Fezah further assured the public that their tickets will be valid for the new date and as usual their instant refund policy is available to anyone that had already purchased a ticket to the online stream.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to live streaming all the amazing new music Iryn Namubiru has lined up, straight into the comfort of your homes soon. For now let’s stay calm, stay safe, and keep those around us safe.”
The diva was set to stage an online concert where she would release a new album that is to feature some of Uganda’s top music icons. She was excited about staging this concert and had hoped to excite her fans with good performances in a bid to quench their thirst for her on stage.
Let us just keep glued and hope for the very best from the Tebiba binji singer come September.
