A son to former minister without portfolio Hajji Abdul Naduli has not been nominated as candidate to contest for Nakaseke Central seat in Nakaseke district due to a mismatch of his names appearing on his academic papers and the National ID.
Academic documents have Jakana Sulaiman while National Identify Card has Naduli Sulaiman Jackana.
The district registrar for Nakaseke district Mike Juuko advised him to seek legal advice.
Nakaseke District has had a high turnout of candidates for nomination in different parties.
Incumbent Nakaseke Member of Parliament Paul Lutamaguzi Ssemakula has been nominated to contest for Nakaseke south constituency on a Democratic Party ticket.
Nakalema violet was nominated to contest for woman MP seat for Nakaseke on National Unity Platform ticket
Godfrey Kiyingi, Allen More Muvara struggled to be nominated so was Ssenfuma Christopher as the returning officer Nakaseke district Mike Juuko requested.
Jakana Naduli Sulaiman the son of the former Minister without Portfolio Hajji Naduli missed nomination due to a mismatch in his names on the national identify card and academic papers.
Those fully nominated are Allen Muvara Mirembe on independent ticket, DPs Lutamaguzi ssemakula for Nakaseke south, NRM’s Nyongere Enock for Nakaseke North, DP’s Kiyingi Godfrey Nakaseke Central and Christopher Ssenfuma Nakaseke Central on independent.
Also nominated is NRM’s Hajjat Saida Bbumba for Nakaseke Central, NUPs Omumbejja Violet for Nakaseke woman mp, Mukibi Stephen for Nakaseke south on independent ticket.
Losers in NRM primaries like Allen Mirembe Muvara and Jackana Sulaiman Naduli decided to come on an independent ticket.
