KIKUUBE CANDIDATES DISSATISFIED WITH THE VOTING PROCESS

The Buhaguzi County legislator Dan Muheirwe and Florence Bangirana Natumanya, a contestant in the Kikuube NRM Woman MP Primaries race have opposed the outcomes of the NRM primary elections.

This follows the declaration of a new comer Francis Kazini Twinomujuni as the NRM flag bearer for Buhaguzi County.

According to Kikuube NRM primaries poll results just released Kazin Twinomujuni polled 17,559 votes (48.7%) followed by Muhairwe who got 16,729 votes (46.4%) while Alex Mwesigye got 802 votes with Karabalema Byaruhanga and Isma Kamaali got 797 and 155 votes respectively.

But these results are now being contested by some of the contenders on allegations of result alteration.

Addressing Journalists in Kikube the losers blamed election officials for the voter bribery and manipulation.

Dan Muheirwe the Buhguzi Member of Parliament who lost the flag has now threatened to file a petition to the NRM election Chairman Dr Tanga Odoi.

Meanwhile, Florence Bangirana Natumanya who got 21291 votes (47.3%) and emerged as the second runner up for Kikuube Woman Member of Parliament has also rejected the results.

The candidates have vowed to stand as independents in the fourth Coming elections.

However, Pascal Musuuga, the Kikuube district NRM registrar in a phone interview refuted all the allegations made against the voting process in Kikuube.
