Residents of Namagabi A village in Kayunga Town Council in Kayunga district this Thursday morning blocked the road from Kayunga town to Nkokonjeru, protesting against load shading in their area.

It is alleged that for more than three weeks now, they have been experiencing power load shading, something that has cost them a lot.

Those are some of the residents of Namagabi village A in Kayunga town council protesting intermittent power supply.

However, management of Umeme headed by Esther Birungi could not wait for them to cause havoc as she rushed with the team to calm the situation before it could go out of control.

After talking with the residents, Birungi, promised to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
The residents also withdrew on condition that they get what was agreed upon.
