NRM primaries have concluded peacefully without any serious hiccups except for Rubare sub-county where the whole exercise was called off following the alleged mysterious disappearance of the registrar Dan Ninsiima minutes to the polling time.
Maria Baitwa Mirembe, the Ntungamo district NRM Elections officer says police and other security agencies have been signalled to search for Ninsiima but by press time, his whereabouts were still unclear.

Residents of Rubare sub-county, Rushenyi County, Ntungamo district have been denied a chance to participate in the countrywide NRM primaries.
This follows the disappearance of the line registrar together will all registers who has allegedly switched off his known phones thus frustrating all possible means to access him or the much required documents that would validated the exercise.
This has accordingly prompted the district NRM office to postpone the exercise to Saturday.

However, this was received with bitterness from the electorates who were thirsty to vote.

These also accuse the incumbent area member of parliament Mwesigwa Rukutana for having a hand in this.

When contacted, Rukutana who is in the race with five others expressed ignorance about the matter.

Meanwhile preliminary results show a tight race especially for incumbents as new entrants enjoy the lead.

Ntungamo had 32 Candidates vying for the six parliamentary seats of Rushyenyi, Kajara, Ruhama, Ruhama East, Ntungamo Municipality and the district Woman representative.
