Police have told the media that 49 incidents of Murder, Suicide and defilement were reported last week where a hunt for suspects linking to some deaths is still ongoing.
the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, also warned disgruntled politicians in the NRM primaries from engaging in illegal processions.
As Ivan Kaahwa reports illegal gatherings by politicians have been blocked by Uganda Police.

Meanwhile, last week police registered 49 Major incidents compared to 52 in the previous week, 35 Deaths were reported and 22 Suspects are in custody.
Incidents of Defilement have been registered in Dokolo District where a 6 year old Juvenile is reported to have been defiled by her father.
A security guard in Iganga gunned down a trespasser who wanted to steal car spare parts at the residence of Iganga district MP Peter Mugema commonly known as Panadol.
In Nakaseke District a police officer on duty shot dead a suspected criminal who tried to disarm him.
In Kisoro, 28 year old Ndimukizza Gerald reported to police after killing his father 80 Years, Mother 75, Sister in law 20 Years and Wife 26Years respectively. Gerald is charged with four counts of Murder.
In Arua district Omua Kasid handed himself to police after killing his father Onjuda Naftali using a hoe.
All these cases are related to land conflicts
One person identified as Kasita Vincent was killed in Nansana West 2A and body abandoned in neighborhood.
In Packwach Police also registered a case of Suicide out of passion where a man set himself a blaze after his wife refused to return home.
But police says so far business people operating in arcades are observing ministry of health guidelines.
