Three Injured In Kisoro Attack

Three people have been seriously injured by unknown assailants who attacked them last night armed with machetes in Birembo village, Rutare parish, Chahi Sub County in Kisoro district.

Gad Ruchuma, a resident said last night at 9:00pm the unknown assailants cut a one Stephen Semitwe on the throat and Godfrey Mfitumukiza was cut on the head while Alex Ntirenganya escaped the attackers.

He made an alarm that attracted residents who also assaulted Jackson Natamba who was at the scene.

Jackson Natamba is an LDU personnel attached to 35th Battalion Nyakabande in Kisoro district.

The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate says Semitwe, Mfitumukiza and Natamba were rushed to the Hospital in critical condition and no suspect has been arrested.
